Recruitment of thousands of people by Indian Railways for Vacancies in Railway Jobs indifferent Railway Zones with in India, to give Strength to their work force within Indian Railways.

The Indian Railway Department are categorized into two broad areas, technical & non-technical services.
Details of the categories as follows:
Finance& Accounting, Tranportation & Commercial matters, the personnel & the security of Railway property, Consists of :
Indian Railway Protection Force Group A (IRPF)
Indian Railway Accounts Service Group A (IRAS)
Indian Railway Traffic Service Group A (IRTS)
Railway Board Secretariat Service Group B
For Technical services, employees who are engineers are responsible for rolling stock of railway wagons and goods carriages looking after maintenance of diesel locomotives,and also driving the engines etc.

Conditions and eligibility for all the other posts:
Age limitation : Between 21 to 30 years old
Educational Qualification : Any Graduate, Engineering Degree for (Technical Services).
Other conditions remain the same as Civil Services Examination. A separate examination isconducted every year in August month for Mechanical engineers recruitment , called the Special Class Railway Apprentices. These candidates agreed, aged 17 to 21, are selected at the pre-graduate level (10+2 with physics or chemistry and maths) and have to take the training of practical & theoretical which is undertaken by Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineers, at Jamalpur.
Recruitment to the railway services is open to both men & women for Indian Railway Medical Service.He must clear the combined Medical Services Examination All salary grades will be fixed by the railways Government of India for the officers and he should follow the pattern of other Civil services.
Age limitation: Should not exceed 30 years
Educational Qualification: MBBS Degree.
